Xenophobic killings in South Africa

Over 250 people have been attacked in South Africa, mostly from the Democratic Republic of Congo; and foreign-owned shops have been looted in the port city of Durban. This comes from the alleged comments of the Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini, who mentions that the attacks are against those who do not have official papers and documentation in South Africa. President Jacob Zuma’ son, Edward, has come out in support of The Zulu King’s comments saying that the foreigners are taking over their country. More than 1,000 people, mainly African migrants have fled their homes, some going to police stations and others being housed in tents on a sports field.
